Jon Spoor

FCA, Managing Director

Jon is Argents' managing director and specialises in the agricultural sector, working with a wide range of farming businesses where he provides ongoing support covering budgets, cashflow and asset finance as well as advising on strategic business decisions.

In addition, Jon has extensive experience of a variety of farming and agri-business accounts software, particularly Key Accounts and Farmplan.

Mark Johnstone

FCA, Director

Mark focuses primarily on owner-managed or family-run SMEs and he also works with a wide range of voluntary organisations and charities, both local and national.

His time is divided between statutory audit, accountancy and tax compliance work, combined with providing more strategic guidance in areas such as remuneration policy and tax planning.

Grahame Miller

FCA, Director

Grahame established Argents in 2003 & has just under 50 years experience of advising clients on a range of matters, particularly family led businesses and those in the agricultural sector. This includes advise on Inheritance & Capital Gains Tax planning and assisting businesses to either expand, restructure or sell, including succession & general Estate planning and, in particular the use of Trusts to help assets be passed on to the next generation.

Stewart Davy

Director, FCA, MAAT

Stewart looks after a portfolio of predominantly corporate clients, dealing with all aspects of the financial statements and accompanying tax returns.  He leads Argents focus on Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements for VAT, as part of which he can advise on bookkeeping solutions including QuickBooks Online for which he is a certified ProAdvisor.

In addition Stewart oversees the payroll team and advises on obligations arising on businesses under the Auto Enrolment legislation.

Stewart Halton


Stewart started with Argents in 2003 and is now one of our Directors.  His main areas of work are preparation of financial statements and compliance work for limited company clients, providing training and support on a range of cloud-based accounting software packages and managing all of the Statutory Audits which we carry out.

He takes a keen interest in developments within the cloud accounting market and is Xero Certified, Xero Migration Certified and a ReceiptBank Champion.

Away from the office Stewart likes to spend time with family and friends, cycling and going for long walks with his dog, Misty.

Neil Groom

Director, TEP ATT

Neil joined Argents in August 2018 and oversees our personal tax team. He primarily deals with tax returns and other compliance for our personal tax and partnership clients, as well as exploring tax planning opportunities. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), and looks after our Trust clients. 

Outside of work he enjoys socialising with friends, origami, listening to music and reading.

Jane Yallop

Office Manager

Jane is based in reception and is usually your first point of contact when you telephone or visit into the office. Her main duties include general office administration, credit control, enhanced fee protection and to ensure the smooth running of the office on a daily basis.

Outside of work Jane helps out on the family farm and during her spare time enjoys walking, going to the theatre and reading.

Fiona Dye

Manager, ACCA

Fiona's workload is divided between taxation - mainly the preparation of personal and partnership tax returns and charities - accounts preparation. Since joining the company following the completion of her degree in Accounting, Fiona has become ACCA qualified, married her husband Matthew and had two children, Bethany and Elliot.

In her spare time Fiona enjoys spending time with her family, arts and crafts and has a small gift shop she helps run with her sister.

Will Batchelor

Payroll Manager

Will's role involves the processing of payroll and bookkeeping for our clients here at Argents. He has an A-Level in Accountancy and over 10 years’ experience processing Payroll, CIS and Bookkeeping.

In his spare time he is a musician playing multiple instruments most prominently Bass Guitar in a rock and roll covers band. He has more recently been training in the art of professional wrestling and also enjoys cycling and going to the cinema. 

Susie Wye

Agriculture Manager, ACA

Susie joined the team in 2019 and specialises in working for and with farmers and agricultural businesses.  Susie’s addition bolsters the agricultural services team and strengthens our already well-established reputation in the region.

In her free time, Susie enjoys going to the gym and spending time with her pets, friends and family.  Susie is also learning Dutch & Italian.

Debbie Chettleburgh

Marketing Manager

Debbie joined in 2019 to take on all things marketing. She sends newsletters and keeps our website up to date.  Overseeing our MyAccountants App and social media, please look out for our posts and feel free to like, share and follow us.  

Outside of work, Debbie enjoys swimming and the gym. Weekends are normally spent restoring or driving classic cars, attending rallies or camping with her family in their campervan.  Homelife is rather busy, entertaining four high school-aged children, 3 tortoises and maintaining roadworthy cars.

Ulanda Snowling

Accountant, MAAT

Ulanda is an Accounting Technician and has been with Argents for over 10 years.  

Her main work within the business involves all areas of tax covering personal, partnership, trust and corporate clients in addition to preparing accounts

When not in the office, Ulanda enjoys taking her goldendoodle Ned on countryside walks with her husband Tom. Her other interests include baking, reading and visiting new countries to learn about their cultures and experimenting with new foods.

Karen Harris

Payroll and Bookkeeping

Karen provides payroll and business support for a variety of our clients.

In her spare time Karen enjoys reading, the theatre and walks with her Labrador, Rafferty.

Liam Shaw

Accountant, MAAT, AATQB

Liam joined Argents in May 2016 and since then has become an MAAT qualified accountant.  His main areas of work are accounts preparation, bookkeeping and statutory audit.

When Liam is out of the office, he enjoys watching Norwich City football club and is a season ticket holder. Liam also likes to play football on Sunday mornings for his local team.

Callum Cooper

Accounting Technician

Callum is AAT Level 4 qualified, his main areas of work involve accounts production, VAT Returns and book-keeping.

Outside of the office Callum likes to stay active by regularly playing sports such as football and tennis, and occasionally travels to London to watch his favourite football team, Arsenal. He also enjoys taking trips to the cinema and visiting a wide variety of different restaurants across Norwich.

Ben Hall

Trainee Accounting Technician, AATQB

Ben joined Argents in August 2017 and is a qualified bookkeeper/trainee accountant, currently studying towards the AAT qualification.  Ben's main areas of work are accounts production for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.

Ben's interests outside of work are playing tennis at Club level where he plays in tournaments and competitions against other players from around the country. Whenever possible, he likes to watch Norwich City play and spending time with family and friends. 

Chris Lake

Trainee Agricultural Accountant

Chris recently graduated from The Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester and has joined our agriculture and farming team.  Chris comes from a farming background and will be a great asset to our team. A Derby County football supporter, we are hoping to recruit him to our Argents football team once he's settled in.  In his spare time Chris enjoys clay shooting too.

Thomas Elliott

Payroll and Bookkeeping

Thomas has recently joined us as our Payroll and Bookkeeping team expands to service our many existing and new clients.  A keen footballer, Thomas has already been recruited to join our Argents football team!

Janet Chase


Outside of the office, Janet is an active member of the gym, taking part in spinning, racket ball and HIT training.  She also enjoys long bike rides in the great outdoors.  Any spare time after this is taken up by painting and grandchildren!

Janet is part of our bookkeeping team to provide bookkeeping services for a variety of our clients.
